Buying Your Guitar

If you've not played much before and you're buying a new guitar for the first time you should be able to pick one up for £50 - £100, although you can probably find one second hand for a bit cheaper.

If you go to a shop that sells a lot of guitars you might have to choose between a few that are in your budget. If you're able to, try playing even a few notes on each guitar that you can afford and if one sounds better than the others then get it, if there's one that sounds worse don't get that one.

Don't worry too much if you feel like you don't have a clue, you don't need the best guitar in the world to start with, just something cheap that you can mess about with and if you find you need something more expensive later on then you'll have some experience to draw on next time.
